Payment of 30% Pre-Retirement benefits from Employees’ Provident Fund

YOU CAN APPLY FOR THE 30% PRE-RETIREMENT BENEFIT FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES ONLY

Housing purposes

Constructing a house on land owned by the member
Purchasing land to build a house
Purchasing a house
Settling a mortgage on a house property
Paying off the remaining balance of a housing loan obtained from an approved bank

Medical treatments for member, spouse or children

EPF Members who:

Are currently employed and contributing to the fund
Have made contributions to the fund for a period of not less than 10 years
Have an EPF accounts balance (audited by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka) of not less than Rs. 300,000.00

Are eligible for a 30% pre-retirement withdrawal.

The completed application forms should be personally submitted by the member to the 30% claim branch in the head office or to the nearest zonal Labour Office in their residence during the office hours of a working day.

The processing time may vary depending on the number of applications received by the office. Generally, it takes about 3 weeks if all required documents are completed.

To complete the application process, please provide the following documents:

The certified application form (S form) endorsed by your current employer
A certified copy of the “B” card of current employment
“B” cards of previous employments
National Identity Card along with a certified copy endorsed by the employer ( In the absence of the National Identity Card, a valid driving license, a valid passport can be submitted)
Copy of the bank passbook
Service certificate obtained within the last three months from the current employer
